Bunbawi (rock)
In harmony with the blue sea around Socheongdo, the white Bunbawi standing grandly along the seashore inspire awes, looking like a god creation. Bunbawi is also called as “Woltti (‘Wol’ is a Chinese character representing moon and ‘Tti’ representing a band) as they shine like a white band under moonlight. Looking like a woman wearing powder (“Bun” is a Chinese character meaning powder), it serves as a guide for ships to return home in pitch-dark nights. Bunbawi has a 50-meter long cave where it is told that Togon Temur of Yuan China once rested.
