Junyoung grew up in the city surrounded by bright neon lights. His mother sold her body to US soldiers. He met Heyin, a blind girl, who came with her aunt, a singer at a night club. Junyoung fell in love with Hyein. However, his mother separated the two because she was worried about his future. This was the beginning of the sad love story between two.
Junyoung lived a new life as Junkyu with his father and met a girl named Geonwu. He developed his musical talent through Geonwu. He was later reunited with Hyein but, sadly, they had to be separated again. There, the twists and turns of the love story of Junyoung, Hyein and Geonwu unfolded.
Location for the Shooting of “A Sad Love Story”
Ongjin-gun is the famous location of the shooting for the drama ‘A Sad Love Story’ aired from 5 January 2005 to 15 March 2005. The setting was the villa of Geonwu Lee (played by Jeong Hoon Yeon) in the drama. Junyoung and Heyin visited this villa for their beautiful love. The picturesque sceneries of the island were used as background.
Take the Youngjongdo New Airport Highway and make the exit to the right after the cargo terminal sign located 2km from the Youngjong bridge.
Go straight for 5km to the junction then turn left to the cargo terminal. Turn right to the Sammok Pier. Go straight for 500m. Take a ferry to get to Sindo·Sido·Modo·Jangbongdo
From Sido (To Location for the Shooting of Full House and Sad Love Story)
Take the village bus at the Sindo Pier (First bus leaves at 07:20; Last bus leaves at 18:20; buses leave every 20 minutes except for the first bus. - Get off at the shooting location sign for Full House and Sad Love Story. (10-15 bus ride.) - Walk 200m for the shooting location of Full House and 500m for the shooting location of Sad Love Story.
